"The IBMBA gave me more than a degree — it gave me a platform to create impact, build an international network, and grow personally in ways I never imagined."
As a dual-degree student between KEDGE Business School in France and National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan, joining the IBMBA program has been one of the most rewarding decisions of my academic journey. It offered the rare opportunity to deepen my expertise in international business management while immersing myself in Asia’s fast-evolving economic and cultural environment.
One of the most memorable parts of my time here has been leading Blue Impact, a student-led initiative focused on reducing marine plastic pollution in Taiwan. Through hands-on workshops, educational outreach, and beach clean-ups at Cijin, we engaged with students, local residents, and businesses to promote awareness of plastic consumption and encourage sustainable practices. Seeing the community respond and take ownership of the cause was deeply inspiring, and it taught me the power of grassroots collaboration in creating environmental change.
The program’s diversity has been its greatest strength. Studying alongside peers from across the globe has sharpened my cultural adaptability and given me a richer understanding of global trade, cross-cultural management, and sustainable development. This diversity also shaped my research focus: my master’s thesis explores talent attraction and investment policy reform in Taiwan, examining how policy design can strengthen a nation’s competitiveness in the global economy.
Beyond academics, Taiwan’s natural beauty and cultural vibrancy have made my experience unforgettable. From hiking in the mountains to exploring night markets, each experience has broadened my perspective and strengthened my ability to navigate different cultural contexts — an essential skill in today’s interconnected business world.
Looking back, the IBMBA has been more than just a degree. It has been a platform to test ideas in real-world projects, build an international network, and make a tangible impact on the community. For anyone considering this program, I believe it offers not only academic rigor but also a unique environment for personal growth and meaningful engagement with global challenges.
