Graduation Requirements

Domestic Students

International & Overseas Chinese Students

Local students have the same requirements as international students with the exception that an exchange is required during their time in the IBMBA program.

  1. Completion of all course credit hours with a minimum cumulative average grade of 70.00 on a 100-point scale;

  2. A master’s thesis in English;

  3. An oral defense where the thesis is approved by the thesis committee (those who fail to pass the first oral defense are given a second attempt. Second failure will result in mandatory removal from the program);

  4. 9 out of 39 credit needed to be accomplish by a overseas exchange program (including ACT and dual degree program).

Below are the listed requirements for international students to graduate from the IBMBA program. Though not required, it is still highly encouraged for all students to participate in the dual-degree and exchange programs offered.

2018 Course Credits Structure

Coursework: All courses are conducted in English. The course requirements are as follows:

  1. 2 Mandatory Courses (6 Credits): Business Ethics and Social Responsibility and International Business Management

  2. 3 Foundation Courses (9 Credits)**: Managerial Economics, Accounting, and Statistic and Quantitative Methods

  3. 5 Core Courses (15 Credits): Provided by the IBMBA program.

  4. 3 Elective Courses (9 Credits): any elective courses offered by the IBMBA program, or English-taught courses offered by all departments and institutions within the College of Management.

  5. Independent Study: An indepdent study course is also offered as an elective to allow students time to to meet with their thesis advisor on a regular basis.

**These three courses are mandatory, but may be waived by similar courses with equivalent credits that were already taken by students.
**In case of discrepancy, the actual regulations on admission notices shall prevail.
