"When you already possess a job that seems glamorous and stable, is it still worth stepping into the unknown once more?"

If you had asked me this a few years ago, my answer might have been no. As a flight attendant, I was accustomed to working in a highly standardized and safety-oriented environment. Life had a steady rhythm, and I had long adapted to that routine. However, during a cross-border flight where I encountered diverse cultures, I began to reflect repeatedly: Am I willing to break out of my existing role and truly step into the core of decision-making and management?

It was precisely this question that led me to IBMBA.

A Transformative Journey and Dual Degree Opportunities

To me, the IBMBA is more than just a master's degree; it is a transformative space where practical experience is reinterpreted and endowed with strategic significance. By placing fragmented observations from my past work in the aviation industry into a complete management framework, theory has evolved from a textbook concept into a powerful tool for responding to real-world challenges.

Despite being exceptionally friendly to students from non-business backgrounds, the curriculum remains highly challenging, helping me bridge gaps in business analysis, statistics, and international management. This journey has not only taught me to view enterprises from a macro perspective but has also been fueled by the passion of professors who encourage us to integrate our unique personal experiences into every discussion.

Furthermore, studying at IBMBA reignited my dream of studying abroad. NSYSU’s dual- degree programs with foreign universities allowed me, someone who had always dreamed of studying overseas, to achieve this goal efficiently and cost-effectively.

A Global Community

Beyond the academics, what I treasure most is the international community that the IBMBA provides. With classmates from different countries, the classroom felt like a miniature global workplace. Through repeated discussions and collaborations, I not only expanded my horizons but also redefined my role and value within cross-cultural teams. That feeling of "becoming a global citizen" is something difficult to replace with any single work experience.

Choosing Growth Over Comfort

Looking back at this choice, I feel nothing but gratitude. Sometimes, life doesn’t wait until you are "perfectly prepared" to begin; you simply have to choose to believe in yourself and bravely jump into the deep end. The IBMBA was exactly the place that allowed me to grow through challenges and find my direction amidst uncertainty.
