My name is Daniel Sittenthaler, and I had the opportunity to pursue my master’s double degree at the College of Management at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU). Coming from an international academic background and having studied in several countries, I was looking for a program that would combine strong academic content with a truly global environment. The IBMBA program at NSYSU offered exactly that and turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my academic journey.

What I appreciated most about the program was the international and collaborative learning environment. Students from all around the world come together in the classroom, which creates engaging discussions and allows us to analyze business cases from multiple cultural and professional perspectives. The case-based learning approach made the classes highly practical and interactive, encouraging us to think critically about real-world business challenges and global market dynamics.

Beyond the academic experience, the study environment at NSYSU is truly unique. The campus is located directly between the mountains and the ocean, creating an inspiring atmosphere that is hard to find at most universities. Being able to study just a few steps away from the beach, while having access to stylish facilities and a beautiful campus, made everyday student life both productive and enjoyable. Kaohsiung itself also played a big role in making this experience so memorable. The city offers a great balance between vibrant urban life and a relaxed coastal atmosphere. With its friendly people, excellent food, and cultural diversity, it quickly felt like home. The welcoming nature of both locals and fellow students made it easy to build friendships and become part of a supportive international community.

In addition to academics, the social activities and events organized by the program were a highlight of my time at NSYSU. These activities provided great opportunities to connect with classmates outside the classroom, explore Taiwan together, and create lasting friendships. Through these experiences, I built a global network of friends and future business professionals that I know will remain valuable long after graduation. Therefore, the people at NSYSU made this journey truly special. From professors and staff to fellow students, everyone was incredibly welcoming and supportive from the very beginning. Their openness and friendliness made me feel comfortable immediately and eventually turned Kaohsiung into what I would call my second home.

Overall, my double degree experience at NSYSU has been both academically enriching and personally transformative. It strengthened my global perspective, expanded my professional network, and gave me unforgettable experiences in one of the most beautiful university environments in the world.
