From EdTech Impact to Global Business — Meet Van from Vietnam

With six years of experience working at the intersection of education and technology, I have been dedicated to developing learning applications that help people access education more easily. Driven by my passion for both education and technology, I chose to pursue the IBMBA program at National Sun Yat-sen University to deepen my business knowledge and expand her vision in the global EdTech industry.

“I am particularly drawn to the program’s international environment, dynamic learning atmosphere, and flexible curriculum. The elective courses allow students to explore subjects aligned with their personal interests and professional backgrounds. For me, this meant the opportunity to connect my previous experience in EdTech with broader business knowledge”. One of my key takeaways from the program has been learning how to apply statistics and data analysis in managerial decision-making.

“As someone who enjoys working with numbers, statistics quickly became one of my favorite subjects. It helped me understand how data can support more objective and accurate business decisions - something extremely valuable in the digital education industry”. In addition to my coursework, I especially enjoy the cultural exchange activities and international events organized by the university. These experiences have helped me better understand different cultural perspectives - an important factor when designing and analyzing user behavior for global learning products.

“The courses in the program are well connected, allowing us to revisit previous knowledge and apply it in new contexts through practical assignments and case discussions. This integrated learning approach makes the knowledge highly applicable to real-world work. For me, studying in NSYSU’s IBMBA program is not only about earning a degree - it’s about gaining the perspective, skills and tools to create meaningful impact through education and technology”.
