On 5 September 2026, IBBA at NSYSU held freshman orientation for its new class. Over 20 students were there for the afternoon. It ran in one lecture hall. Lunch came first. Then faculty remarks, a program and exchange briefing, a short break, and an icebreaker run by the Student Association.

The day started with lunch. Students sat together, talked, and began meeting people in the room. For many of them it was the first time seeing the rest of the class in one place. That stretch was informal. People could eat and talk before anyone stood at the podium.

IBBA Student Association president Paul Tsai (蔡和翔) then opened the formal program. He walked through the schedule for the rest of the afternoon, told the class what each block was for, and introduced the faculty who had come.

Professor Chung-Lin Tsai (蔡宗霖), chair of IBMBA, GHRM MBA, and IBBA, spoke at 13:30. Mentors Professor 陳偉慶 and Professor 劉易 met the class as well. Faculty went through the rows with a mic to talk with students. After that the group sat for a photo, still in the same hall, before the program talk.

Vice President Kris Liu (劉暢) took the academic hour after the photo. He walked through how IBBA is built and gave tips on course selection: required classes, electives, and how to plan the first semester. The aim was a clear picture of what the class has to take in the opening weeks.

Jamie Chiu (邱鈺雅), IBBA's international mobility mentor, covered exchange and dual-degree routes. She put a QR on the two screens so students could reach her later with questions. The slides also laid out when to start preparing. Junior-year exchange looks at first-year GPA from October of sophomore year. Senior-year exchange looks at sophomore GPA from October of junior year. A short Q&A followed.

After a short break, Paul ran the icebreaker. Students introduced themselves to the class, lined up, and played a few games in small groups to get to know their teammates and the people sitting around them. The last round sent students up to answer a question. Nine students won prizes. Small gift cards went to the winners. That closed the welcome. Next come the rest of IBBA's events, as this class starts the year.
